Plant of the Week: Native Blue Sage. This will grow tall and even taller if competing with Sunflowers, Goldenrod, or other tall plants. The good news is that you can prune it back to four feet or more/less over the summer and it will still look great come Fall.

The last #GardenSunday on Bluesky is August 31st due to inability to draft posts (please don’t suggest adding another app to make Bluesky work better) and dwindling active accounts from St. Louis area. I appreciate everyone who participated in Garden Sunday for 181 weeks on Twitter and then 40 weeks on Bluesky. We had a good run. It was a lot of fun and I learned much from and was inspired by so many gardeners and nature lovers. St. Louis Area Plant and Seeds Sales and Swaps and This Week in Gardening & Nature will continue on this blog and links posted to Bluesky. Should Bluesky make changes, such as ability to draft posts, would consider bringing back Garden Sunday.
